  • A note about this bibliography.

    Libraries have always fascinated me. I used to select books for reading by their thickness or by where they were located on the shelf, thinking that treasures would be hidden. I did find such treasures.

    This blog, however, will list those books I've found useful in a variety of libraries across the country and in used book stores that deal with some aspect of Scottish life in the 19th Century and its global setting. I'm setting this up as a kind of permanent page and will update as I continue researching. Please feel free to email me with any suggestions.
